His current position is as co-conductor of the (Asti) Diocesan Liturgical Music Institute with Maestro Daniele Ferretti, with whom he shares the role of artistic director. In 2026 he was appointed as director of the San Secondo Choir, in succession to Maestro Mario Dellapiana.

Riccardo Glinac started to learn the piano at the age of 6.

While still a student at the Vittorio Alfieri school he signed up as a pupil of the Antonio Vivaldi academy, initially under Maestro Dario Banuccelli, and latterly Maestro Matteo Costa. At the same time he studied composition under Maestro Paolo Ferrara, whose class on conducting choirs and orchestral groups he also attended.

Having graduated from the liceo he attended Torino University’s philosophy faculty where he earned his doctorate with a thesis on Th. W. Adorno’s analysis of Mahler’s music.

While attending a master class under Maestro Fabrizio Dorsi in August 2024 he was awarded the conducting prize sponsored by the Auditorium Association and the Puglia Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has continued his study of chamber music under Maestro Roberto Issoglio, and frequently gives recitals as part of a duet with Gaia Abaclat, with whom he attended Maestro Miklor Perenyi’s master class on Beethoven’s oeuvre.
